MINUTES of a meeting of the East Sussex Discretionary Transport Appeal Panel

1 Apologies for absence:
1.1 Apologies were received from Councillor Denis.
1.2 The chair welcomed Councillor Cross who had been nominated by Councillor Denis as his substitute.
2 Public minutes:
2.1 RESOLVED to approve as a correct record the public minutes of the previous meeting held on 25 October 2023.
3 Disclosures of interests:
3.1 Councillor Redstone declared a non-prejudicial interest in case 37/23 and Councillor Field declared a personal interest in case 39/23.
4 Urgent items:
4.1 The chair agreed to discuss a previous case under item 10 to decide if the Panel were prepared to reconsider it in the light of new information from the appellant.
5 Any other non-exempt items:
5.1 None.
6 Exclusion of the public and press:
6.1 It was RESOLVED - to exclude the public and press from the meeting for agenda items 7, 8, 9 and 10 on the grounds that if the public and press were present there would be disclosure to them of exempt information as specified in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), namely information relating to an individual.

7.1 RESOLVED to approve as a correct record the exempt minutes of the previous meeting held on 25 October 2023.
8 Report on previous cases:
8.1 None.
9 Consideration of transport provision in individual cases:
9.1 The Panel reconsidered and reached a new decision on the following transport provision case numbers: 45/22 and 15/23
9.2 The Panel considered and reached a decision on the following transport provision case numbers: 37/23 and 38/23.
9.3 In case 39/23, the Panel required additional information from the appellant and deferred making a final decision whilst the information was sought.

10.1 The Panel considered a request for a rehearing in case 23/23. The Panel declined the request.
